There’s more noise from the Rue de Rivoli itself than from La Samaritaine’s construction site! This has been revealed through sensors placed throughout the interiors of the neighbouring buildings, which continuously record noise and vibration levels during the construction work. The readings are then transmitted to the central site office, which sets off an alarm if the authorised sound thresholds are exceeded. Since the start of the project, these incidents have been extremely rare – and immediately resolved.
